Duane (Dewey) Waddell is a detailed and realistic artist using black and white to express underlying emotion in the eyes and the posture of wildlife. He is predominantly known for his style of fading away an image border to give a dreamlike view that causes the observer to create the rest of the story in their own mind.

Duane is a Wisconsin native who discovered his love of art at the age of 5 and taught himself to draw by studying various artists and their work. He is an avid outdoorsman who spends his free time in nature; observing and learning the ways of the wild.

Duane believes that one cannot positively determine what is in the mind of an animal and he strives to illustrate that idea in the eyes and stance of the animals he draws.
